House of Chalon
Chalon is a line of the House of Burgundy - Ivrea (see also master list of the House of Burgundy - Ivrea ).
History
It was created by the exchange of the counties Chalon and Auxonne against the rule Salins, the Count John the Wise ( Jean le Sage) on June 15, 1237 with Hugo IV, Duke of Burgundy undertook. The memory of the old property was only obtained by Johanns children the family name de Chalon assumptions.
