Jehan Buhan

Jéhan Marie Eric Joseph Buhan ( born April 5, 1912 in Bordeaux, † September 14, 1999 ) was a French fencer who won three Olympic gold medals and three world championship titles.

Buhan won at the World Fencing Championship in 1938 with the French foil - team the silver medal. After the interruption caused by the Second World War, the first post-war World Cup was in 1947 in Lisbon. Buhan won two gold medals: Together with André Bonin, René Bougnol, Christian d' Oriola and Adrien Rommel he won in the foil team standings and together with Edouard Artigas, Marcel Desprets, Henri Guérin, Henri Lepage and Michel Pécheux he won the epee team score.

At the 1948 Olympic Games in London Buhan approached only with the foil. The team with André Bonin, René Bougnol, Jehan Buhan, Jacques Lataste, Christian d' Oriola and Adrien Rommel won the gold medal ahead of the Italians, in the single won Buhan Christian d' Oriola before.

1949 won Buhan with the foil - team World Cup silver. The following year at the World Championship in Monte Carlo Buhan erfocht three silver medals.
