Kleinebersdorf

Kleinebersdorf is a municipality in the southeast of the Thuringian Saale- wood - country circuit and part of the joint management hills / valleys.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the southern edge of the Thuringian wood land about 20 km southwest of Gera. East of Kleinebersdorf the Federal Highway 9 runs with the junction Hermsdorf -south and 3 km about 10 km away ( since April 2009 re-opened ) distant point leather pants.

The town is crossed by the Roda, which led to occasional flooding. For example, 1969. To avoid this possible, the stream banks was fixed at a cost of 750,000 marks since 1972 and the creek bed deepened. I saw the results in flood of 2001, when the creek although considerably swelled, however, was hardly present in the local location on the shore.

History

Kleinebersdorf was founded in 1100 by settlers from Franconia. The first documentary mention of the place as " Eberhardisdorf " was 1349/50 in a Lehnbuch.

Opened in 1905 in the rural community of wood a dairy, which was the most important economic operation in the community until its closure for reasons of profitability in 1992. Due to low utilization had to end its operation since 1939, the existing kindergarten. The Linden who had influenced the townscape for decades, fell largely a storm in July 2002 to the victim. Today there are still some farms of local crafts available.

Attractions

The village church

The main attraction of the place is the church in the place ( position → 50.81663754805611.837065815833 ). The Romanesque building ( nave, chancel and apse square ) has been built so in the East-West direction, the chancel in the east of the church in the tower is " always faces east ," in the tradition of the Christian church building. She has a retracted transversely rectangular chancel tower with an apse. The basement of the tower carries parts from this period. The two upper storeys of the tower was probably built in 1688 in the framework construction and blinded to protect against weather and enemy attacks with slate. The tower also carries a slated roof. The roof is crowned by two lanterns at the ends of the gable and one each weathervane. The present form of the nave is from 1884. The tower is centered on the short east side of the rectangular nave. The roof of the nave ends up as a half-hipped roof and brick is covered.

At the time of the tower reconstruction and renovation of the nave (by 1688), the church received most of the still existing equipment, as can be seen from an inscription in the choir room. The two long sides of the three-sided gallery wear in the parapet fields paintings in a rustic style of painting: in the south of flowers and fruit containers, in the north of musicians. The pulpit is located on the south side of the passage from the nave into the sanctuary ( " Triumphal Arch ") with the popular representation of the four evangelists. From around 1500 probably is the polyptych from an Saalfeld workshop. In the central shrine Mary with Child, Catherine and Barbara can be seen on the wings of the Annunciation and the birth of Jesus and the Adoration of the Magi painted. The altar was restored in 1993. Between the altar and the Arc de Triomphe is an old baptismal font of 1678th The pews of the church is simple and in white color, which highlights the bright impression of the church interior. The organ in the gallery is of, 1888.

After extensive renovation, the church was re-consecrated on 25 October 1992.

The church is surrounded by a beautiful, almost circular with cemetery cemetery wall. The world has become known ornithologist Christian Ludwig Brehm and father of the creator of " Brehm's Animal Life" served as priest in Upper and Unterrenthendorf in Hellborn (now in the church Renthendorf summarized ) and Kleinebersdorf. The parishes called him the "Bird's pastor".

The parish is part of the parish Renthendorf.
