Lamazière-Basse
Lamazière -Basse (La Bassa Masiera in Occitan ) is a commune with 303 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Gorges de la haute Dordogne.
Geography
The municipality is located in the Massif Central between the Luzège, a tributary of the Dordogne, and the Vianon, a tributary of the Luzège.
Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 50 kilometers south-west, Ussel about 25 kilometers north-east and Égletons about 15 miles northwest.
Neighboring communities of Lamazière -Basse Palisse are in the north, Neuvic in the east, Saint- Hilaire- Saint- Luc and Pantaleon -de- Lapleau the southeast, Lapleau the southwest, Moustier- Ventadour in the west and Darnets in the northwest.
Traffic
The village is located about 18 kilometers south-east of exit 22 of the A89 autoroute.
