Lancia Musa (2004-2007)

The Lancia Musa is a minivan in the Italian car manufacturer Lancia, which was produced between spring 2004 and summer 2012.

The Musa ( to German: the Muse) was the first vehicle of this type and size of Lancia. He was designated by the manufacturer as an MPV or Compact MPV ( Multi Purpose Vehicle ).

General

The Musa arose together with its sister model Fiat Idea, but had a better equipment. For example, there were seat covers made ​​of leather and Alcantara combination, chrome ornament, navigation system and a Bose sound system as an option.

The presentation took place in March 2004 at the Geneva Motor Show, then launched the sale for late summer.

The Musa is both a stand-alone model, but should also act as a substitute for a five-door version of the former Lancia Ypsilon. The Musa was produced in Lancia Mirafiori plant in Turin and bears the internal model designation 350

Facelift

At the 64th International Film Festival in Venice in September 2007, the revised Musa had its world premiere. Here, the front bumper and the grille have been modified. Likewise, the tailgate, rear bumper and taillights have been redesigned, which are now equipped with LED lights.

The " Nuova Musa " also identified a new wheel designs and new exterior paint, again were several two-tone paint finishes on offer. In the interior, the boot capacity has been increased by 75 liters by lowering the loading floor. In addition, there were other colors for the seat upholstery and the dashboard.

For Musa an advertising campaign featuring Carla Bruni, former fashion model, singer and wife of Nicolas Sarkozy was born.

Rear view

In July 2012, the production of Musa was terminated. A successor is not currently in prospect.
