The Mazda Hakaze is a concept vehicle that Mazda introduced in early 2007. His most important design elements come from the new " design language " Nagare, the Mazda chief designer, Laurens van den Acker designed. The name can be as " flow " translated. These elements can also be seen on Mazda's previous Nagare concept cars, Ryuga and kabura. The development of the design study took place in the Italian Orbassano at Vercarmodel Saro.

The car has the look of a coupe, the functionality of a Softroaders and the driving characteristics of a roadster. He dispensed with door handles and has cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, scissor doors and a partially removable roof.

Inside there are four individual seats, which give the car a 2 2 layout. The car facing the driver has a center console. All controls contained therein can be adjusted to the specific requirements of every driver, and these settings are stored on a Bluetooth card. The driver then gets into the car, his personal settings will be restored automatically.

The car has a 2.3 -liter petrol engine with turbocharger and 267 hp ( 196 kW), four-wheel drive and an electronically controlled automatic transmission with six gears.
