Melle ( Belgium) is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 11,016 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It is located near Ghent on the south bank of the Scheldt, and consists of the two districts Melle and Gontrode.

The city center of Ghent is located 6 kilometers north-west, about 44 km south-east Brussels and Antwerp 50 km northeast. The nearest motorway exit is located at Merelbeke off the A10 / E 40 The community has a regional railway station on the line Gent - Melle - Aalst - Brussels.
