Zele is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region. It is located in the province of East Flanders and belongs to Arrondissement of Dendermonde.

Lokeren located 5 kilometers north-west, 6 km southeast of Dendermonde, Ghent 22 km west, 30 km northeast of Antwerp and Brussels 34 km to the southeast.

The nearest motorway exit is just north at Lokeren at the A14/E17. Zele has a regional railway station on the route Lokeren - Dendermonde. In both cities, there are also other railway stations with maintenance of regional trains. In Ghent and Brussels also keep on regional express trains. In Antwerp there is a regional airport near the capital Brussels there is an international airport.
