Miss Sweden
Miss Sweden is a national beauty pageant for unmarried women in Sweden. It is held annually since 1949. The winners will be referred to as domestic Fröken Sverige. However, an isolated Swedish candidates at the Miss Europe took part before the Second World War: 1936 Birgit Engquist and 1938 Karin ring.
Sponsors and organizers were 1949-1999 the magazine Vecko - Revyn, from 2000, the television station TV3, 2004, the men magazine Moore Magazine. 2005, the competition failed. The reason of "disability by feminist groups " was specified. The concept revised to make the 2006 event as Nya Sverige Fröken revive - why was the new organizer - the swimwear manufacturer Panos Emborios.
The competitor Swedish Models currently selects the Miss World Sweden.
Since 2007 there is a separate competition for the Miss Earth Sweden. Manager of the agency is the same Roberto Strindstedt.
2009, a separate competition for the Miss Universe Sweden was founded, performed by the Star World Entertainment Corporation CEO Joakim Granberg.
