Mozambique national basketball team

The Mozambican national basketball team of the gentlemen representing Mozambique in international basketball games. Shortly after the accession of the Mozambican Association for World Federation FIBA 1978, the selection of the men in 1981 could qualify for a final round of the African Cup of basketball. During the Angolan selection of the former Portuguese " sister colony " in southern Africa then advanced on the African continent as the dominant force, the Mozambican selection was ten years after a fifth place in 1983 from 1985 no longer qualify for a continental finals. Since 1995 it is but again a regular participant at the African finals without placing themselves in contrast to the ladies in the front of the field selection or even to achieve a qualification for a global finals.
