FIBA Africa Championship 1987

The basketball Africa Cup of 1987, the fourteenth basketball Africa Championship, took place between the 17 and 27 December in 1987 and in Tunis, Tunisia, which hosted the championship for the second time. Winner was the national team of the Central African Republic that could win the title for the second time. In the final, Egypt could be beaten.

In the Preliminary Round ( Group A and B) was played to four ( group A) or five years (Group B) teams into two groups. Each team played against each other exactly once, so that each team exactly three (group A ) or four games ( a total of 16 games have been completed ) completed.
