FIBA Africa Championship 1992

The basketball Africa Cup of 1992, the sixteenth basketball Africa Championship, took place between December 18, 1992 and January 8, 1993 held in Cairo, Egypt, which hosted the championship for the fifth time. Winner was the Angola that could defend his title and thus win the title for the second time. In the finals, Senegal could be beaten.

In the Preliminary Round ( Group A and B) was played to six ( group A) or five years (Group B) teams into two groups. Each team played against each other exactly once, so that each team exactly five years (Group A) or four games (a total of 25 games have been completed ) completed.
