FIBA Africa Championship 1968

The basketball Africa Cup of 1968, the fourth basketball Africa Championship, took place between 29 March and 6 April in 1968 in Casablanca, Morocco, which hosted the championship for the second time. Winner was the national team of Senegal that could defeat the defending champions Morocco in the final. It was the first championship for the country. For the first time took a team of Congo, Ivory Coast, Central African Republic and Niger in the tournament.

In the Preliminary Round ( Group A and B) was played in two groups, in group A and five teams competed in Group B four. Each team played against each other exactly once, so that each team just four games (group A ) or three games ( group B ) ( total of 16 games have been completed ) completed.
