Noli

Noli, lig. Noei, is an Italian town with 2776 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Liguria region and is located on the Gulf of Genoa.

Location and data

Noli is located about 17 km south of Savona. The neighboring municipalities are Finale Ligure, Spotorno and Vezzi cervix.

Noli belongs to the Comunità Montana Pollupice and is twinned with the German town of Langenargen. Noli is a natural harbor. History

The name Noli goes back to the Byzantine period, when the place was called Neapolis. In the year 768 Noli was overrun by the Lombards, who first destroyed the city, then built up as the administrative headquarters again.
