Osiglia

Osiglia ( in Ligurian: Oseria ) is a municipality with 458 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Savona.

Geography

Osiglia is located in the upper part of the Valle Osiglietta, in the Ligurian Alps. The municipality is located above a homonymous dam and belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Val Bormida. From the provincial capital Savona Osiglia is about 40 kilometers away.

According to the Italian classification with respect to seismic activity, the community of zone 4 was assigned. This means that Osiglia is in a seismically inert zone.
