Petter Tande
Petter Tande Laukslett ( born June 11, 1985 in Oslo) is a Norwegian nordic combined.
Career
Tande, who starts for the club Byåsen IL, since the age of nine years, operates Nordic skiing. His international debut was in 2001 in B- World Cup Nordic Combined. Already in the first competitions he reached the points and improved its results from competition to competition. At the Junior World Cup 2002 in Schonach he won jointly with Magnus Moan, Mathias Oestvik and Jo - Wesche Fossheim in the team competition bronze medal. In the individual competition, and about 10 km from the normal hill he finished seventh. After the World Youth Championship, he got to the end of the season 2001/ 02 a place in the World Cup squad. Already in his first World Cup start in Trondheim he reached the points in the sprint.
In August 2002, Tande succeeded in the Summer Grand Prix to a place in the top ten. So he reached eighth place in Steinbach- Hallenberg. At the end, he finished with 141 points in ninth place in the Grand Prix standings. In the Norwegian Cup 2002 in Høydalsmo he won the silver medal in the sprint. As of November 2002, he started firmly in the World Cup, reaching from the beginning of the 2002/ 03 good results within the top 10 At the Junior World Championship 2003 in Sweden Sollefteå in single as well as in the sprint, he managed to win the bronze medal. With the team he won the team competition behind the team from Germany, the silver medal. In August 2003, Tande started again in the Summer Grand Prix and managed in Steinbach- Hallenberg first time with a third place on the podium. At the start of the new World Cup season he succeeded on 6 December 2003 in Trondheim. On 27 January 2004, he reached the sprint in Sapporo with the second place his best finish so far in the World Cup. He had merely beaten Hannu Manninen. At the Junior World Championship 2003, which was held in Norway Stryn short time later, Tande surprisingly won gold in all competitions of the combination, including two individual competitions as well as with the team in the team competition.
After the World Youth Championship Tande succeeded in the World Cup usually a place in the top ten. However, a victory was further delayed. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf, he won with the team to the next to him also Håvard Klementsen, Magnus Moan and Kristian Hammer were the gold medal. In individual Gundersen he reached number nine in the sprint and seventh place. In the sprint, he finished sixth. In the World Cup he won again in Oslo a single World Cup after the Olympics. In the overall World Cup as he reached the fourth place.
In the Summer Grand Prix 2006 with the team in Berchtesgaden, he managed to win. In the individual competitions, he was unable to match the previous year. After starting with the front seats in the new season 2006/ 07, Tande won at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo with the team the bronze medal. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Tande reached with Jan Schmid, Espen Rian and Magnus Moan in the team competition in fifth place.
