Pine Iceland Center is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Lee County in the U.S. state of Florida with 1,854 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Pine Iceland Center is located in the north of the island Pine Iceland. The island is connected by a bridge to Cape Coral. The CDP is located approximately 27 km west of Fort Myers, and about 210 miles from Tampa and 260 miles from Miami.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 1,854 inhabitants distributed to 1,137 households. The population density was x inh. / Km ². 95.7 % of the population were white, 0.3% African American, 0.8 % Native American and 0.9 % Asian Americans. 1.1% were members of other ethnic groups and 1.4% in different ethnic groups. 5.5% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 40.1 % of all households lived in 18.6 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 61.0 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.16 persons and the average family size is 2.63 people.

17.8% of the population were younger than 20 years, 10.7% were 20-39 years old, 29.9% were 40-59 years old and 37.5 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 54 years. 50.3 % of the population were male and 49.7 % female.

The average annual income was $ 35,817, while 14.5 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 96.92 % of the population spoke Spanish and 3.08%.
