Pine Manor is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Lee County in the U.S. state of Florida with 3,428 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Pine Manor is immediately adjacent to the north of Fort Myers and the Tamiami Trail (U.S. 41/SR 867 ) affected. Tampa is located about 200 miles and Miami 220 km away.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 3,428 inhabitants distributed to 1,349 households. The population density was 3116.4 inh. / Km ². 56.8 % of the population were white, 16.7 % African American, 0.8 % Native American and 0.8 % Asian Americans. 21.3% were members of other ethnic groups and 3.6% in different ethnic groups. 60.2% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 8.5 % of all households lived in 51.5 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 68.9 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 3.33 persons and the average family size is 3.63 people.

34.4 % of the population were younger than 20 years, 37.8 % were 20-39 years old, 20.5% were 40-59 years old and 7.4 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 28 years. 54.9 % of the population were male and 45.1% female.

The average annual income was $ 26,750, while 37.2 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 56.53 % of the population spoke Spanish 40.88 % and 2.58 % spoke French.
