Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer

Rayol- Canadel- sur -Mer is a commune with 718 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Var department in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur; it belongs to the district of Draguignan and the canton of Saint- Tropez.

Rayol- Canadel- sur -Mer on the French Mediterranean coast and on the Corniche des Maures between Le Lavandou in the west and Cavalaire-sur- Mer in the east. Until the 20th century the municipality was only forest with some shepherds' huts. In 1925 the resort was founded in 1949 Rayol -Canadel from the municipality of La Môle was outsourced. The Domaine du Rayol within Rayol -Canadel now belongs to the Conservatoire du littoral and thus is protected.
