Saint-Étienne-la-Geneste

Saint- Étienne- la- Geneste ( Sent Estefe la Genesta in Occitan ) is a commune with 97 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Gorges de la Haute Dordogne.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central from the south Millevaches Plateau and the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin on the right bank of the Diège.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 70 kilometers south-west, about 13 kilometers north Ussel and Bort- les- Orgues about 20 kilometers to the east.

Neighboring municipalities of Saint- Étienne- la- Geneste are Saint- Victour in the East, Sainte -Marie- Lapanouze in the south, and Chirac -Bellevue in the West.

The village is located about 13 km southeast slightly junction 23 of the A89 autoroute.
