Saint-Rémy, Corrèze

Saint- Rémy ( Sent Remic in Occitan ) is a commune of 226 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Bugeat - Sornac - Millevaches au Coeur. The inhabitants call themselves the Saint- Rémy.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 75 kilometers south-west, Égletons about 40 kilometers southwest and Ussel about 15 kilometers south.

Neighboring municipalities of Saint- Rémy are La Courtine in the north, Saint -Martial -le- Vieux and Couffy -sur- Sarsonne in the northeast, Courteix in the east, Saint- Pardoux -le- Neuf in the southeast, Lignareix and Saint- Pardoux -le- Vieux in the south, Saint- Germain- Lavolps the southwest, Bellechassagne in the west and Sornac in the northwest.

The Liège, a tributary of the Diège, runs through the municipality.

Traffic

The village is located about 19 kilometers northwest of the junction 24 of the A89 autoroute.
