Tervuren is a Belgian municipality located in the province of Flemish Brabant in Flanders. The community on the eastern outskirts of Brussels includes the districts of Duisburg, Tervuren, Vossem and Moorsel.

Tervuren had 1 January 2012 a total population of 21,236 inhabitants. With an area of ​​32.92 km ², the population density in the municipality has 645 inhabitants / km ². The official language of Tervuren is Dutch. History

Following the Christian tradition, it is at Tervuren to the Fura -mentioned place in the 727 Saint Hubertus from Liege died. But this is not historically proven. A first historical document from 1213 tells of a wooden fortress, which was built at this place of Henry I, Duke of Brabant. Culture

Tervuren is particularly known for its Royal Museum for Central Africa ( Koninklijk Museum voor Midden- Africa), which lies immediately to the north of the park of Tervuren. Tervuren is surrounded by two large parks. To the east lies the Park van Tervuren, which is traversed by a channel and dominated by several connected lakes.
