Truden im Naturpark

Truden in the Natural Park (Italian Ampezzo nel parco naturale ) is a municipality with 1022 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Monte Corno Nature Park in South Tyrol (Italy). It belongs to the district community Überetsch sub country.

Geography

The municipality is located in the south of South Tyrol Truden and extends counted to the Val di Fiemme Alps forested ridge that separates the lowlands of the Val di Fiemme. Large parts of the municipal district with a total area of ​​20.70 km ² are being made ​​in the Monte Corno Nature Park under protection.

The main town, Truden (1090-1180 m asl ), situated on a south-facing flat saddle (1563 m) is dominated by the west ridge of Cislon. Also the municipality include the fractions mills ( 820-880 m) at Trudner Bach slightly southwest from the capital, cold Brunn ( 970-1000 m) slightly northeast, and in the extreme east of San Lugano ( 1060-1010 m) at San Lugano - saddle ( 1097 m ), a transition from the Adige Valley Val di Fiemme. In the south, the land rises to the Monte Corno at (1781 m), the summit of which, however, is just outside the municipal area.

In the west and north Truden bordering the South Tyrolean neighboring communities Montan and Aldein. In the east and south, the municipality comes in part on Carano and Capriana in Trentino, partly to Altrei, a functional exclave of South Tyrol.
