Veyrières, Corrèze

Veyrières ( Veirièras in Occitan ) is a commune with 70 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The church is the seat of the municipal association Plateau Bortois.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the left side of the Diège near the Millevaches Plateau and the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin. The Diège Dam Barrage of Chaumette is located about five miles to the southwest.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 70 kilometers south-west, Ussel about 10 kilometers north-west, and Bort- les- Orgues about 15 kilometers southeast.

Neighboring communities of Veyrières are Saint-Bonnet- près- Bort in the north, Saint- Victour in the south and Saint- Exupéry -les -Roches in the West.

Traffic

The village is located about 15 kilometers southeast of the junction 23 of the A89 autoroute.
