Vincent Defrasne

Vincent DeFrasne ( born March 9, 1977 in Pontarlier ) is a former French biathlete and Olympic champion in biathlon.

In the season 1999/ 00 Vincent DeFrasne made ​​its appearance for the first time in the Biathlon World Cup. His best World Cup placing it reached 2005/ 06 (6th place ), his first World Cup victory was on January 7, 2006, in the sprint race in Oberhof. Where major events Vincent DeFrasne was focused chiefly successful with French squadrons. In the Biathlon World Championships 2001 in Pokljuka he also won gold at the World Championships and 2004 in Oberhof bronze at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City bronze.

Two years later he won the gold medal in the mixed relay at the Biathlon World Championships 2009 in South Korean Pyeongchang.

Professional DeFrasne is employed by the French army and still lives in his birthplace Pontarlier. His hobby is next to the sports, the music. He is married and has a son.
