Viola Goretzki

Viola Goretzki ( born November 23, 1956 in Zwickau ) is a former rower from the GDR. In 1976 she was Olympic champion in the eighth.

The starting for the SG Dynamo Potsdam Goretzki won 1972 at the Spartakiade in the aft and in the quadruple sculls. In 1975, she won at the East German championship in rowing community with rowers from Potsdam, Berlin, Leipzig and Dresden. This boat then also won the title at the World Championships in 1975 in Nottingham in the cast Doris Mosig, Rosel Nitsche, Renate New, Kallies Monika, Bianka Swede, Ilona Richter, Christiane Knetsch, Viola Goretzki and control Ms. Marina Wilke.
