World record progression 1500 metres freestyle

The swimming world record for the 1,500 -meter freestyle swimming are the best in the discipline 's 1500m freestyle swum times. They are recognized by the International Swimming Federation FINA. World records are kept separate for long paths ( 50 m) and short tracks ( 25 m) and separately for men and women.
