Holzdorf

Wood Village (Danish: Holttorp, Low German: Holzdörp ) is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg -Eckernförde in Schleswig -Holstein. The present municipality was established in 1928. Except Wood Village are Seeholz, Soeby and other districts, mostly individual farms, as well as the Meuse Good life in the municipality.

Geography and transport

Wood village is about eleven kilometers north of Eckernförde near the Baltic Sea on the Schwansen Peninsula. The Schwansenstraße (B 203) of Eckernförde to Kappeln leads through the village. The Söbyer lake is approximately the geographic center of Schwansen.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1352 as Hotoft, Soeby 1462 as Sobu. Seeholz was founded in the 18th century; there an elementary school was operated up to the summer holidays 2007.

Policy

After the local elections of 2008, the CDU had six seats and the SPD and the voter community WGH had three seats in the municipal council.

Good Maas life

Maas 's life was an episcopal fief, which can be detected at least since 1463. At that time it was called the Curia.
