1990–91 ECHL season
The season 1990/91 was the third regular season of the East Coast Hockey League ( ECHL ). The eleven teams completed in the regular season of 64 matches. The point of best team in the regular season were the Knoxville Cherokees, while the Hampton Roads Admirals won in the play- offs for the first time the Riley Cup.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- In the course of league expansion, the Cincinnati Cyclones were taken.
- In the course of league expansion, the Louisville Icehawks were taken.
- In the course of league expansion, the Richmond Renegades were recorded.
- The Virginia Lancers changed their name to Roanoke Valley Rebels.
