2010 Swiss Indoors

The Swiss Indoors Basel 2010, the 41st edition of the indoor tennis tournament in Basel. The tournament was part of the ATP World Tour 500 and took place from 30 October to 7 November 2010. The tournament was worth a total of € 1,750,000. The field of individual petition consisted of 32 players, double that of the petition of 16 pairs. The tournament coincided with the Valencia Open 500 2010. The venue of the tournament was the St. James Hall, which is just behind the Basel city limits in Munich stone.

Last year's winner in the Serb Novak Djokovic was single, which took place as two seeded player to defend their title. In the final, there was a rematch of the final of 2009 between Djokovic and the top-seeded Swiss Roger Federer, which Federer won in three sets. For Federer, it was already the seventh finals overall in Basel ( Wins: 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010; Losses: 2000, 2001, 2009), and his fifth in a row. The defending champion in doubles, the Canadian Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic of Serb, again took part in the tournament. They were also set to position 2.
