2010 Legg Mason Tennis Classic

Defender of the individual was Juan Martín del Potro, who did not participate in this year's tournament. In the final David Nalbandian defeated Marcos Baghdatis at position eight seeded; the triumph in Washington was Nalbandians first title in the current year and the eleventh of his career. In doubles, Martin Damm and Robert Lindstedt were the defending champions, but even they were not this year. In the final, Mardy Fish and Mark Knowles were able to prevail against Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek. The victory in Washington is the second public officials title.
The field of the individual competition consisted of 48 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The 16 top-seeded player in singles each got a bye into the second round.
