Bülent Uygun ( born August 1, 1971 in Sakarya ) is a former Turkish football player and current football coach.

Playing career

He began his career in 1989 at Kocaelispor and finished it in 2003 Anadolu Üsküdar 1908 SK. In between he played for: Çanakkale Dardanelspor, Kocaelispor, Çanakkale Dardanelspor, Trabzonspor, Göztepe Izmir, Zonguldakspor, Sivasspor. Turkish national football team Uygun played eleven times. The best years of his career he has experienced at Fenerbahce, where he met with 22 goals scorer in the 1993/94 season.

Coaching career

Bülent Uygun trained Sivasspor from November 2006 to October 4, 2009, when he resigned as coach because of the bad start to the season. For the 2010/11 season he was obliged Bucaspor. Already on Matchday 5 he resigned in Buca and was coach of Premier League rivals Eskişehirspor. For this he was awarded by the Association of Official exchange a fine of 200.000 TL ( € 95,000 ) for breach of contract.

End of March 2012 he was introduced as the new coach of Turkish first division club Elazığspor. Here he reached with the team at end of season the runner-up of the TFF 1 Lig and thus the direct promotion to the Süper Lig he let start of the season draw a large part of the newly promoted team and urged the club's management to increased player to commit with whom he already at Sivasspor and Eskişehirspor worked. After the club with only three points in seven games into the season experienced a bad start, Uygun was October 8, 2012 announced his retirement.

By the 21st matchday of the 2012/13 season Uygun was head coach at Gaziantepspor. His contract with Gaziantepspor was disbanded on 10 November 2013.

Trivia

  • After the league match between Gaziantepspor and Çaykur Rizespor, which ended 4-2 zugrunsten Rizespors, Uygun criticized in the press conference the referee Fırat Aydınus massively because of its decisions and accused him of deliberately choose his person. The trade press confirmed almost unanimously criticized by Uygun referee's decisions as correct and criticized Uyguns behavior. The disciplinary committee of the Turkish Football Association imposed a three -match ban Uygun and its club a money road over 14,000 Turkish Lira. A day later, the game suspension Uyguns was lifted after previously Gaziantepspor had paid the fine.
