Calzada del Coto
Calzada del Coto is a small town on the Camino de Santiago in the province of León Autonomous Community of Castile -Leon.
The name of the village is to be found in the most ancient records of the monastery of Sahagún in this form and refers to the Way of St. James ( Calzata = way, road). From a hamlet called Zacharias (Villa Zacharias ), which is mentioned as standing in connection with the place, no more tracks can be identified.
The village church is dedicated to St. Stephen.
