Castel Vittorio

Castel Vittorio or Castelvittorio ( in Ligurian: Castè ) is a municipality with 323 inhabitants ( as at 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia.

Geography

Castel Vittorio belongs to the Comunità Montana Intemelia and is approximately 66 km from the provincial capital of Imperia.

According to the Italian classifications for seismic activity, the community of Zone 3 was assigned. This means that Castel Vittorio is located in a seismically active zone little.

Climate

Specialty

In the vicinity of the only noteworthy DOC red wine of Liguria also grown - Rossese of Dolce Acqua.
