Route

The start and finish were initially located at Hainer Weg in Frankfurt's Sachsenhausen district near the Henninger Tower. After the Binding brewery Henninger took over, the start and finish in 2002 was moved to the gates of the Binding brewery in the Darmstadt road, which is also located in Sachsenhausen. The race ended at two destinations each time after a mehrmahls to be traveled Target Round 5 km of the Henninger Tower.

2009 started the race for the first time in Eschborn and ended in the Frankfurter settlement Riedenberg. The almost 200 -kilometer route will take you through the Main- Taunus-Kreis and the Hoch-Taunus district. Due to the route through the Taunus (Taunus loop ), which accounts for more than half of the track, the race is considered to be relatively sophisticated. The short, but enormously steep rise at Mammolshain mountain (up to 26% slope) is a challenge for any racing cyclist.

Record winner with three victories ( 1999, 2002 and 2005), Erik Zabel.
