Gerhard Grimmer

Gerhard Grimmer ( born April 6, 1943 in Katharinaberg ) is a former German cross-country skiers.

Life

He learned the trade of machinist and began in 1961 his competitive sports career. In 1974 he was. During the Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun world champion over 50km and with the relay and vice world champion over 15km As early as 1970 he became vice world champion over 30 km and with the relay in Štrbské Pleso. Grimmer remained until 2003, the only German cross-country individual champion. He was considered the " best Central European cross-country skiers ".
