Lars Bergendahl

Lars Bergdahl ( born January 30, 1909 in Sørkedalen in Oslo, † 22 June 1997) was a Norwegian cross country skier who was active in the 1930s.

Career

Bergdahl took part in world championships between 1934 and 1939. In 1937 he became world champion over 18 km and with the season, 1939 world champion over 50 km. In 1939 he was awarded the Holmenkollen Medailleund Morgenbladet gold medal.

In the Norwegian Nordic Ski Championships he scored 1936-1938 various titles. He won at the Norwegian Championship 1936 title over 18 km. A year later, at the Norwegian Championship in 1937, he won the title over 30 km. In the Norwegian Championship 1938 in Mo i Rana, he secured his third title in a row, this time over the 18- km distance.

His father Lauritz Bergdahl had also been cross-country skiing and had won five times between 1910 and 1915, the Holmenkollen race.
