Grönwohld

Grönwohld ( Low German Gröönwoold ) is a municipality in the east of the circle Stormarn, south of Bad Oldesloe.

History

Grönwohld was first mentioned in documents in 1248. Since the Middle Ages the town was dominated by the mill economy. The village belonged to the old sovereign Official Trittau. In the 17th century, the Hamburg merchant family Amsinck built a large wire mill in the village, which served as a production facility for fine wire. 1817 acquired the Lübeck merchant Hate the mill and converted it to a paper mill. Grönwohld was one of the 17 wooden villages.

After annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia Grönwohld came to the newly founded Stormarn and after the introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889 to the newly established office district Lütjensee, which rose in the Official Lütjensee 1948. As the Office Lütjensee was disbanded in 1972, Grönwohld was slammed today's office Trittau.

Religions

1248 Grönwohld was the parish in the newly established parish Trittau. When this was again divided in 1330, the place came to a new parish Lütjensee. During the Reformation Grönwohld was how the whole Stormarn, Lutheran. Responsible for the spiritual care was now again the Church in Trittau.

Grönwohld is served by the national road 404 ( Kiel-Lauenburg/Elbe ) to the national road network. From 1887 to 1976 the railway station was Grönwohld Schwarzenbek bath old RST.

Culture and sights

In the list of cultural monuments in Grönwohld are registered in the list of monuments of Schleswig- Holstein cultural monuments.

The Amsincksche wire mill from the 17th century to the wire pond is since 1972 under monument protection. The half-timbered building stands on a base ( water ) of granite. The gable roof of the water mill has wide dormers.

Büttenwarder

Since 1997, the NDR television series News from Büttenwarder is rotated in Grönwohld and environment. The occurring in the series " village inn " Unter den Linden is in Grönwohld. There you will find outside of the shooting instead of regular inn operation, even Lütt un Lütt is on the drinks menu.
