History
Illerrieden was first mentioned in 1291. From 1568 it was under the Teutonic Knights until 1806 it was an exclave of the German Order Coming Altshausen within the Deutschordensballei Swabian Alsace - Burgundy. By the Act of Confederation of 12 July 1806 place came to the Kingdom of Württemberg. Today's church was re- formed on 1 March 1972, the Association of Municipalities Illerrieden and cheeks. Already on 1 January 1971 Dorndorf was incorporated into Illerrieden.

Cheeks was first mentioned in 805. Ferdinand Eggmann writes: "In the year 805 that is donated Cadaloh ( Adalho ) son of Count Peratold the monastery of St. Gallen goods in Wangen prope (near ) Düttenheim ( Teodone ) ". The district was already incorporated 1810-1828 by Illerrieden. Since the local government reform in the 1970s, it is now finally to Illerrieden.

Sports
The Sportfreunde Illerrieden 1926 eV, mainly from the departments football, athletics, gymnastics and gymnastics exist, were founded in 1926 as FV Sportfreunde Illerrieden and was initially a pure football club.
