Jakobsweiler

Jakobsweiler is a municipality in the Thunder Mountain district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kirchheimbolanden.

Geographical location

The place is located in the northern Palatinate at the foot of Thunder Mountain, which is also the highest mountain in the Palatinate with its 687 meters.

Parish council

The local council in Jakobsweiler consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009, by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman location.

Coat of arms

The blazon of the arms is: " divided by gold and green, above a green oak branch with three green acorns and four green oak leaves, below the head inverted left Golden Dragon ".

It was established in 1976 approved by the district government Neustadt.

Culture and sights

In Jakobsweiler is a well-preserved fortified church from the 12th century. Jakobsweiler has the " Doll House Museum of the 30s and 50s " with constantly changing exhibitions.

The Jacob Weiler Kerwe parade takes place on the first Sunday in October.
