Seelen
Souls is a municipality in the thunder mountain in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Rockhausen.
Geography
The town lies on the saddle mountain in North Palatinate mountains west of Mount Thunder between Kaiserslautern and Bad Kreuznach.
History
Until the French Revolution souls belonged to the Duchy of Pfalz- Zweibrücken ( Schultheißerei Berzweiler ). After the French Revolution, the town was incorporated into the French department Thunder Mountain. As a result of the Vienna Congress, he was from 1816 to 1945 Bavarian. After the Second World War souls was part of the French occupation zone and was incorporated into the newly formed 1946 State of Rhineland -Palatinate.

Culture and sights
In 2000, the community built on the saddle mountain a 19.65 -meter-high observation tower with a mobile antenna. At an altitude of 457 meters, you have a panoramic view of the counties Kusel, Kaiserslautern and the Thunder Mountain district up to the Hunsrück. Every year the festival with Tower Hobby artist market and Antique tractor is the first weekend in June at the Tower celebrated exhibition.

Economy and infrastructure
Take the A 63 in the south-east is connected to the long-distance transport. In Rockhausen is a railway station of Alsenztalbahn.
