Orbis, Rhineland-Palatinate

Orbis is a municipality in the Thunder Mountain district in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to with 15 other municipalities in the municipality Kirchheimbolanden.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 40 km southwest of Mainz in the hill country between the Rhine Hesse and the Palatinate mountains. In the area of Orbis springs from the river Selz, which flows into the Rhine at Ingelheim. At Orbis includes the living space Leithof.

Neighboring municipalities are Morschheim in the east, the Kirchheimbolandener district heath in the south and upper meadows in the West.
