Jilotzingo

Jilotzingo is a municipality in the Mexican state of México. It belongs to the Zona Metropolitana del Valle de México, the metropolitan region around Mexico City. The community had in 2010 17.970 inhabitants, its surface area is 119.2 km ².

County seat is Santa Ana Jilotzingo, the largest places of Municipalities, however, are San Luis and Santa María Ayucan Mazatla.

Geography

Jilotzingo located about 20 km west of Mexico City and about 40 km northeast of Toluca de Lerdo.

The municipality borders the Municipalities Isidro Fabela, Atizapán de Zaragoza, Naucalpan de Juárez, Xonacatlán and Otzolotepec.
