Chapa de Mota is a municipality in the Mexican state of México. The municipality had the Census 2010 27.551 inhabitants, the area amounts to 293.1 km ². The seat of the municipality is the same Chapa de Mota, the largest places of Municipalities, however, are San Felipe Coamango, San Juan Tuxtepec and Dongu.

Geography

Chapa de Mota is in the northwest of the state of Mexico, about 40 km northwest of Mexico City.

The municipality Chapa de Mora borders the Municipalities Jilotepec, Timilpan, Villa del Carbon and Morelos, as well as to the state of Hidalgo.
