Karl-Ã…ke Asph

Karl- Åke Asph ( born February 2, 1939 in Avesta ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier.

Career

His greatest achievement was winning the gold medal in the 4x10 km relay at the Olympic Winter Games in 1964 in Innsbruck in the cast Asph, Sixten Jernberg, Janne Stefansson and Assar Rönnlund. Two years later, he missed at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo with the 4x10 km relay in the cast Asph, Bjarne Andersson, Kjell lidh and Ingvar Sandström only just a medal.

After his career Karl- Åke Asph worked as a sports teacher in Mora.
