Lagraulière

Lagraulière (La Grauliera in Occitan ) is a commune with 1131 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Communes et Tulle Cœur de Corrèze.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central. The prefecture of the department of Tulle is located approximately 19 kilometers southeast. The municipality is crossed by a small river with Brézou name, which flows into the Vézère after about 30 kilometers.

Neighboring communities of Lagraulière are Saint- Jal in the north, Saint -Clément in the east, Chanteix in the south, Saint- Pardoux- l'Ortigier the southwest, Perpezac -le- Noir in the west and Espartignac in the northwest.

Attractions

  • The church of Saint -Marcel de Bourges dates from the 12th century and is classified as a monument historique since 1932. In it there is a baroque, carved altarpiece from 1670, created by Pierre and Jean Duhamel.
  • The Château de Blanche Fort from the 12th century, abandoned since the 17th century and restored in the 19th century.
