Mendatica

Mendatica ( in Ligurian: Mendàiga what "manda acqua " ( in German: sends water) stands and points to the large number of sources on the common land ) is a municipality with 190 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia. The inhabitants Mendaticas be officially Mendaticesi, but the ancient toponym Mendaighin named according Mendaighini in common parlance.

Geography

Mendatica is located on the slopes of Monte Fronte and dominates the upper part of the Valle Arroscia, whose capital is the town of Pieve di Teco. Mendatica belongs to the Comunità Montana Alta Valle Arroscia.
