Mike Portnoy

Michael Stephen Portnoy ( born April 20, 1967 in Long Beach, Long Iceland, New York) is an American drummer. He is particularly known as a founding member of the band Dream Theater, which he left on 8 September 2010.

Life

Born in Long Beach, New York, Mike Portnoy grew up as the son of a rock and roll disc jockeys.
