Noël Foré

Noël Foré ( born December 23, 1932 in Adegem, † February 16, 1992 in Ghent ) was a Belgian racing cyclist.

Noël Foré was professional cyclist from 1956 to 1968 and was able to record several large individual successes; twice he could win a " monument of cycling ." In 1958 he won Gent- Wevelgem in and in the Tour of Belgium, which he once again decided in 1962 for themselves. In 1959 he was third in the Road World Championships. In 1963 he won Kuurne -Brussels- Kuurne and the Tour of Flanders, 1967 Rund um Köln. Also in 1967 he won second place in the Tour of Flanders.

After the end of his active cycling career taught Foré, who was known for his meticulous methods of training and race preparation, at the " Bloso " ( Agentschap voor de Bevordering van de Lichamelijke Ontwikkeling, de sport en de Openluchtrecreatie ), a state sports institute in Flanders.

In Ghent, the track cycling criterion "Memorial Noël Foré " will be held for the next generation as part of the six day race annually.
