Norwegian Sportsperson of the Year

Norway's Sportsman of the Year (Norwegian sports Journalistenes statuett or Årets Idrettsnavn ) is an award that is annually since 1948 by Norske Sportsjournalisters Forbund (NSF ), the Norwegian sports journalists association (founded in 1921), awarded. What is determined is Norway's best athletes of the past calendar year, with men, women, teams and coaches compete against each other. As jurors the NSF members who vote directly about their favorite act. The result will be announced usually in late December / early January. The award ceremony will take place in the following spring.
